How Does CCS Provide A Forever Home for Everyone?
Family Support Services: With the right kind of support, most families can care for and nurture their own children. Our goal is to help fragile families become strong again and never lose their children to foster care. Families who have been separated can often be reunited if given encouragement and the right kind of help.
We provide programs and services to help mend the broken ties, heal the wounds and bring families together again.
Community homes: For the children who cannot be adopted or reunited with their families, we offer a safe, nurturing Forever Home that is theirs as long as they need it. For children just entering protective custody, we provide a Receiving Home to keep siblings together and safe while an appropriate placement is found. For medically fragile adults with developmental disabilities, we offer long-term nurturing care in five-bed residential homes.
Independent living: Without mentoring and support, nearly half of all youth aging out of foster care will be homeless or imprisoned within one year. Our Independent Living Programs offer them help in developing life skills, finding a job, and securing housing.
