Treatment Foster Care

Mission: Opportunities are provided for youth who are at risk to live temporarily in a caring home with trained treatment foster parents who share the goal of successfully reuniting the family.

The New Solutions program saw a huge demand met for intensive treatment foster care services for children with severe emotional and behavioral needs. We were proud to have one youth recognized by Governor Kulongoski for his success.

The Treatment Foster Care program achieved significant strides in making evidence-based practices a foundation in its approach to serving youth and their families. The program reached full capacity this year due to an intense outreach for foster parents.

The Shelter Evaluation Program continued to serve youth who are facing emotional and behavioral challenges, focusing on “short duration” placements of less than 90 days, returning youth to a nurturing, supportive setting in the shortest possible time.

The Target Program, serving youth with significant emotional and behavioral issues, focused on providing a “forever home” type placement for children who need a setting with few or no other children in the home.
